The Graupner Ultramat 16S is a mains or 12V DC powered battery charger and balancer for NiMH/NiCD/LiPo/LiIo/LiFe/LiMN and Pb type batteries.
With a maximum output power of 150W when powered from your 12V DC power-source, the Ultramat 16S makes a fantastic all-purpose fast charger either in the workshop or at the field and the blue back-lit display is very bright and clear. This kind of power means you can charge your 3s packs at up to the maximum 10A supported by the charger (If your packs can take it!) and charge your 2.3Ah 2s A123 packs at the maximum 10A that they support for charging. When powered from the mains using the included 3-pin UK mains plug, the output power of the charger is reduced to 90W.
The balance socket is the JST-EH/Graupner type, which supports 1-6 NiCD/NiMH/LiPo/LiIo/LiFe cells. The charger includes three balance boards for JST-XH, JST-PQ and Thunder/FlightPower batteries.
This charger has a storage program and a lead-acid charge program and is protected against short-circuit, overload and reversed polarity conditions.
Open the box, plug-in and charge your packs.
Includes UK mains plug.

Graupner Ultramat 16S review - By Mike Rigby
Usual good quality from Graupner, supplied with all the leads, connectors and balancer boards you should need.
There are a number of improvements over the standard Ultramat 16, the most important being an increase in power output from 50 to 90 watts. This for example, allows a 6S 3000 mA li-po to be charged at 1C, as opposed to being limited to 0.76C (2.3 Amps).
Another nice touch is the 12 volt supply lead connecting to the charger via 4mm banana plugs, as opposed to being hard wired. This means you don't have to have the leads trailing over the bench when not in use. The mains supply lead is also plugged into the unit.
Finally, the cooling fan, although a tad noisier than the standard 16's, is temperature controlled, so only comes on when required.
The unit is easy to use with foolproof control and menu.
The PC interface was not tested.
