The AXi 2820/14 Gold Line brushless outrunner motor is a high torque brushless motor with rotating drum and high power neodymium magnets. This motor is designed especially for unlimited 3D model up to 1400g in weight, for example a Mini Raven 49" or a Sebart Katana S30E or similar.
Due to it's high torque this motor is capable of turning large propellers with a high level of efficiency and without the need for a gearbox. The hardened 5mm steel shaft is supported by three ball bearings.
A feature in the AXi motor design is provision for radial mounting (see picture). The optional radial mount set includes: mounting flange, propeller adaptor, securing collar, and screws and allows the motor to be mounted similar to an I.C engine on the front of your models firewall.
Use the 2820/14 on 3s with a 14"x7" electric propeller in models such as the new Precision Aerobatics Addiction X or any other 3D model up to 1,400g/49.4oz. On this setup, a 2,200mAh 3s Li-Po will provide around 6 minutes of 3D flying, depending on throttle usage.
This motor has been used very successfully with multi-rotor copters on 3s with 14" propellers (Approx. 500g thrust at 50% WoT) and also on 4s with APC 12" propellers.

AXI 2820/14 & Hyperion Yak 55SP 25e - By Mike Smart
Like all gold AXI's, a lovely smooth running, quiet and powerful motor. Mine is installed in a Hyperion Yak 55SP 25e, primarily because now I virtually only use AXI motors and in this particular model, I wanted a little more power and to swing a 14" prop.
This has proved to be a great combination running on 2200 3s 25C lipos.
A top motor!
