The Model Motors VMG 2:1 Gearbox is an offset inner-driven gearbox with a 5mm output shaft, for motors with a 5mm output shaft, such as Jeti Phasor and various Mega motors.
Before installation of this unit, please study the diagram supplied with the gearbox carefully. Following assembly, dry fit the unit to your motor mount to ensure correct positioning. This is an "offset" gearbox (see pictures) The output shaft of this gearbox is offset from the output shaft of the mated motor.
When tightening the grub screw to secure the pinion, care should be taken not to strip the thread for the grub screw. Loctite can be used to assist with a secure fit, when there is certainty that everything is situated correctly.
After bedding in (approximately one hour of run-time) the gearbox should be dismantled and lubricated using a suitable grease, to ensure a long service life.
