The Multiplex Easy Cub Receiver-Ready version, complete with pre-installed servos, motor, controller and propeller. The EasyCub is a 55"/1400mm wingspan beginners model with rudder, elevator and throttle control that offers an extremely docile flying nature much like a vintage model.
The EasyCub RR is mostly factory-assembled, with the following components pre-installed: -
- 2 x Tiny-S servos
- 1 x Speed controller MULTIcont BL-27/II
- 1 x Brushless Motor Himax C2816-1220 with prop-driver and 10"x5" propeller
Parts required but not included: -
- 2s 7.4V Li-Po battery with a capacity of approximately 2000mAh (#157230 recommended)
- 3-channel or more receiver
- Cyano glue to attach the horizontol tailplane and fin (Zacki Elapor is perfect)
Multiplex recommend their 2s 7.4V 2,000mAh "eco" battery or for slightly better performance their 2s 2,200mAh "FX" battery pack. Both are already fitted with a Multiplex connector, so no soldering is required. We have found that the recommended eco pack performs more than adequately, allowing strong climb-outs and more than reasonable flight duration.
Work required to get the model ready for your first flights: -
- Glue on the horizontal tailplane
- Glue on the fin
- Slide the undercarriage into place
- Attach the included decals (entirely optional but recommended for visibility)
- Check balance point and stick furry side of included hook + loop inside the fuselage to secure your battery
- Stick corresponding rough side of included hook + loop to your battery
- Attach the pre-installed push-rods to the control horns on tailplane and fin and check all surface movements with your radio
- Slide the wings together and attach to fuselage using the included nylon bolts
- Attach propeller driver and propeller to motor shaft
The stock power system provides plenty of power with the recommended 2s 7.4V Li-Po battery allowing strong climb-outs to gain height. The model can then be flown in gentle circuits at around 1/3rd throttle. The Wireless trainer stick when used with a Multiplex M-Link transmitter creates a great buddy system without wires, to achieve success and confidence during your first flights.
An optional float set is also available for the EasyCub, to allow flying from water!
