The MPX Mentor is an extremely versatile model with a 1630mm/64" wingspan, designed as .40-size trainer purely for electric flight, so the beginner need not suffer engine starting problems! As a result, the Mentor is a quiet and clean model and offers full control with rudder, elevator, ailerons and throttle using affordable light-weight servos.
Not only is the Multiplex Mentor a great trainer, but with modern high-powered brushless setups, this model can also act as a glider tug, towing gliders up to 3m wingspan such as the Multiplex Cularis. So the Mentor actually fills a number of roles from Trainer to general sport model as well as a glider tug. This represent fantastic value for money.
The MPX Mentor has a tail-dragger type undercarriage with a steerable tail wheel, so is well behaved on the runway, even from relatively rough fields.
