When a 1407 motor doesn't quite cut it and you need that little bit more torque for a 4 inch or even a 5 inch propeller, look to Brother Hobby for a well-made solution! The Avenger series R3 are 1507 sized motors that are ideal for your next mini quadcopter build using 3-5" propellers and where your target all-up-weight is tantamount to success. The Avenger edition motors use Japanese bearings and aircraft grade aluminium, fused with the excellent build quality and the attention to detail we expect from Brother Hobby. The outstanding power to weight ratio offered by these motors really demonstrates the pace of development in the mini quad arena – the 3600kv variant can take almost 500 watts of power on a 4 cell battery and really shines with 4s propellers like the GemFan 4045 and the HQprop 4×4.3×3V1S.
Compared with the T-Motor F20II (3750kv), these are quite similar. We expect the Brother R3 have slightly better cooling and possibly a wider throttle band. The 3600kv motor here is comparable to the existing F20II 3750kv and probably a little cheaper than the T-Motor too. Of course, the 2800kv and 4100kv are by no means comparable. In terms of build, the Avengers show-off the typical high build quality and attention to detail we have come to expect from this esteemed manufacturer of FPV quadcopter motors.
Getting back to basics, the R3 have an overall width of 19.6mm and a height of 30.5mm with a cut-out base to keep the weight down (around 15.5 grams per motor!) Conveniently, these motors have dual mounting options and can be mounted either with M2 screws using the 12mm gapped holes or M3 screws using the 19mm holes.

Used these as an upgrade on Air-Ro after static thrust tests showed over 1000g of thrust on the bench with hq4x4.3x3v1s. Tried the 4100kv.
They are thirsty and come down warm, and they are pushing 850mah lipos very hard, 1000mah coped. Nice and smooth, good quality binding, light and insane power. More than the F20ii I replaced with them!
Would suggest 3600kv for 4 inch unless you really want max speed and hate lipos, 4100 for 3 inch.
