The new F40 Pro II from T-Motor takes the recent fashion of small motor bases to a new level, with a reduced 2mm thickness base plate, 29.5 grams weight including cables and a low kv variant for 5", 6" and 7" props for maximum efficiency during long range flights. Part of the Pro v2 series motors is new high-temperature resistant silver windings, a super feature that means the windings won't immediately melt during those high-power manoeuvres. This new approach increases temperature resistance by up to 33% over high temperature enamelled wires.
For such small and light-weight motors, the power output and performance available is staggering. The 1600kv version with 6×4x3 props, 45 amp ESCs and a 6s battery, can kick out approximately 1839 grams of thrust with over 870 watts of power. Of course that is not particularly efficient use of input power but it is an interesting illustration of what can be achieved with a motor weighing less than 30 grams!
Some great features of the F40 Pro v2 include an anti-slip design on top of the rotor, to prevent props slipping during hard acceleration and a new titanium alloy steel shaft secured by a screw for easier servicing. In a move that is almost a first for T-Motor, the F40 Pro II is available in three awesome colours: Monster Green, Adamantium Grey and Reactor Red, so now you can match the best quadcopter motors to your best frame. Of course, many will tout that colour is irrelevant in the drone racing game but those in the know will confirm that mini quads fitted with the reactor red motors will fly the fastest.
Each of three available colours is available in 1600kv, 2400kv and 2600kv and a special 2150kv in blue for 5s setups.
Included with each motor: -
- M5 lock nut
- Mounting screws
- Spare screw and washer for servicing
Compare multiple kv options
Choose from the low 1600kv with 4-6s batteries and 5-7" props for efficiency and duration, or the racing 2400kv for a balance of explosive power, response and efficiency. For insane speed and power there is always the 2600kv.
Thrust, RPM and power consumption
The table below shows typical setups for each variant along with thrust, RPM, amps and total input power for a given voltage.
