New AXi "sailplane" motors with elongated hardened 8mm shaft for large powered gliders up to 15kg/529oz. The extra long motor shaft allows the motor to be installed further back from the front of the fuselage where there is more space and slightly less impact on the centre of gravity. This new range from Model Motors includes a front-mounting cross and 3 over-sized ball bearings.

This motor is recommended for powered gliders up to 15kg operating on 10s Li-Po batteries with 20×13 propellers and 100A ESCs such as the HobbyWing FlyFun or ZTW Mantis. Can also be used on 10s with 24×12 propellers and 125A+ ESCs for short bursts. The maximum motor load is approximately 90A for 20 seconds.
