Universal Prop Saver for AXi 22xx/xx

Universal prop saver for GWS and APC propellers for radial mounting on AXi 22xx/xx series brushless electric motors.

A prop saver is a small light-weight gadget which sits on the motor shaft, upon which the propeller is then situated. The prop saver has a short 'nose' which helps to seat the propeller. This nose does not project entirely through the hub of the propeller and therefore the propeller is a very loose fit. A rubber ring is used to hold the propeller in place over the nose of the prop saver which is secured via two pegs on the prop saver itself.

This mechanism ensures that the propeller is secure enough to allow the propeller to spin, but in the event of a hard landing any lateral force applied to the prop simply knocks it off the nose of the saver and usually prevents a breakage. It also serves to protect the motor from damage somewhat.
