T-Motor Alpha Series ESCs 40-80A

A new type of ESC from the masters of multirotor power systems. The Alpha series uses multiple protection mechanisms in both hardware and firmware along with an intelligent technology known as field-oriented control (FOC) (or vector control) to provide efficient and stable operation of the motors on your drone. This new approach to ESC design can result in extended flight times through its use of active braking and additional levels of safety for your drone. Most importantly, Alpha ESCs are attributed with the following desirable attributes: -

• Low noise , temperature and interference
• Fast response and high efficiency

Despite their size, these devices are 15-20% lighter than their equivalent-sized standard ESC. The improvement in response time and efficiency comes partly from the sine wave driving of the ESC control. This results in a much smoother startup of motors and less burst current demand as the motor spools up, which saves energy.

Multiple Protection Features

Alpha Series has multiple protection features integrated into the ESC, to protect itself against various failures and abnormal conditions.

• Throttle loss
• Over current
• Motor lock-up
• Short circuit
• Low voltage

Aside from these software features, Alpha controllers also have physical protection up to IP55 to keep water and dust away and prolong the life of your ESCs, which is particularly important when operating in very dry, humid or dusty conditions.

Alpha ESCs are firmware upgrade-able using the optional data link combo (sold separately), which allows relatively simple updates to be applied over a Wi-Fi connection. Please note that each ESC has custom firmware which is applicable only to certain motors. Care should be taken to apply the correct firmware for your particular T-Motor.
