AXi 2203/RACE v2

The AXi RACE is back in v2 guise with the new AXi 2203/RACE v2 miniature outrunner motor from Model Motors. The v2 retains the three mounting lugs and light-weight but now has a hollow shaft for VPP setups. The original AXi 2203/RACE with integrated prop saver has also been upgraded to v2.

This power unit was tuned by Gernot Bruckmann to be especially suitable for fast indoor models. The mounting lugs allow easy mounting to the fuselage of your model and fast centering of the motor. The quality and light-weight 3mm carbon shaft is supported by two ball bearings.

Many indoor modellers are using the 2203/RACE for a slightly hotter setup in indoor aeromusical type models with 2-cell Li-Poly batteries and an 8"x4.3" propeller. A slightly more efficient and less insane setup with the 8" propeller (but still very light and powerful) is the 2203/46.

The AXi 2203/RACE v2 is great for light racing models and other fast indoor aerobatic models weighing up to 170g (6 oz.) and has also been used very successfully in models such as the Sultimate (See video below!)
