These tiny but ultra-bright red LED strips have been designed specifically for multicopters with a nice tight cluster of super bright LEDs for maximum visibility at distance or for night flying but also to help your quadcopter stand out when your buddy is on your tail! There are two LED strips in a pack measuring just 21×7x3.6mm. These chaps have a nice wide viewing angle, low current consumption and easy soldering tabs for neat, clean wiring. You can also mount them easily using the dye-cut double-sided tape included for extra mounting strength! How much do these LED lights weigh?
No need to worry about adding lots of weight to your mini quadcopter just to have lights on it – Each of these light strip weighs just 0.7g!
What voltage can I operate them on?
You can run these LEDs on 3s Li-Po (12V DC).
Can I run them on 4s?
Some people have run them on 4s, but they get really hot and will likely die after not long. If you can mount them in a really good airflow or on a heatsink, it might work. These lights are designed for operation on 3s.
What about polarity?
Polarity is marked on the PCB. The LEDs will only light up if the polarity is correct. Just two wires!
What is the current draw?
Each board draws about 24mAh at 12V. i.e. very little!
