The new AXi 2820/12 Cyclone is a hybrid brushless motor inrunner/outrunner design with integral ESC connectors on the rear for simple mounting in powered gliders/sailplanes. This new design features integrated aluminium cooling fan with a light-weight aluminium case. Particularly important with this new design is the fact that there are no special techniques required for servicing.

The AXi 2820/12 Cyclone is designed for installation in electric gliders and sailplanes up to approximately 2400g/84.7oz on 3s with 12×6.5 propellers. Note that these Cyclone motors include no mounting hardware or prop drivers. The rear ESC connectors mean that the motor can easily be installed in the nose of your glider without complicated routing of the three motor wires. When purchasing a folding propeller setup, note that the hardened steel shaft is 5mm.
