Designed for high-performance operation in models up to about 7kg, the AXi 5320/18 is the original 6s power-house from Model Motors. The 5320/18 v2 supports a maximum power output of up to 1700W and continues Model Motors long tradition of producing some of the best brushless motors on the market, with v2 motors offering up to 2% more power and 20% less heat than original v1 motors. This motor has an 8mm output shaft, with 12mm prop adaptors for front and rear mounting included in the box.
The 5320/18 v2 has been designed for operation on 6s and is particularly suitable for flying radio-controlled model trainers or slow-flying vintage models up to 7kg (247oz), aerobatic models up to 5.5kg (194oz) or 3D flying models up to 4.3kg (151oz). Please refer to the power setups tab above for more information on recommended setups for the AXi 5320/18.
Donatas Pauzolis won the F6A category in the world air games, Torino 2009, with a 78" Extra. The setup was the AXi 5320/18 Gold, APC 20×8 Thin Electric propeller, 90A ESC and 6s LiPo Battery of 4400mAh. Total weight 4950g. Watch the video to see this setup in action! The 5320/18 has also been used very successfully in the Krill Thunder 3D. For a hotter setup, the 5325/16 with a 22"x10" on 6s is also suitable – with careful throttle management! The 5325 weighs an extra 80g.
