The new Crack Pitts Mini is the second of the great mini EPP series RC planes from Twisted Hobbys which capitalises on the superb performance features of the existing Crack Pitts.

Twisted have tirelessly tested and refined the new Mini Crack Pitts to optimise power-to-weight, wing loading and construction techniques, which results in what is probably the best performing mini EPP bi-plane in existence that you can fly almost anywhere – indoors or your back garden!

For servos, use the new Gening D561 on ailerons and a 531BB for rudder and elevator. These have JR/Hitec/Uni type connectors.

Mini Review
5/5 stars
By Adrian Amos
Having built the 800mm span version i set on putting the Mini together; pretty much the same build format.

I put in a Sunnysky 2230 motor with a 7x3.3 GWS prop and use the Desire 300 mah lipo's.

The plane came out with an AUW of 120g which makes it 5g over the suggested range but i wouldn't notice. I did do a few mods, like using more substantial carbon fibre tube for the control linkages, but thats just my preference.

The flight characteristics are exellent, loops, rolls, prop hanging, inverted (all i can do so far) are rewarding to execute.

I really was not sure about how this model would fly but i must say it is great and you only need a small space to fly in.Best kit i have bought in a long time.

Easy build, rods using snap links easy to make, very nice fit. Used suggested motor and servos etc. Balanced in correct place. I consider myself a bit better than a beginner, so set the throws down low to about 50% on high setting and 35% on low rates. Using 260mah battery it's ready for the first flight. Expecting this little beauty to be like a missile, I was pleasantly surprised when it eased itself into the air, straight and level with only a touch of up to hold it level. Landed and increased throws, tried again, still at about 70% of maximum throws. Looped, rolled, hovered (almost still) on 3rd flight. Cannot wait for next indoor meeting. I admit to 3 sudden arrivals with no damage whatsoever. There are now 4 more of these in the club with a few more still to make the leap. Finally if the throws are kept low, this is an ideal plane to learn with.
