The new Zorro from the RC Factory "FUN series" has been developed in collaboration with Twisted Hobbys to provide a superb all-round, spur-of-the-moment and fun aerobatic and combat style flying with low cost and durable EPP construction, without breaking the bank. Typically of EPP flying wings, the Zorro is straight-forward to build and requires just two 9 grams servos, motor (80-120W), ESC (10-12A) and battery (850mAh 3s). The Zorro will take a wide range of batteries from 3s 450-850mAh and is a good platform for light-weight FPV with a pico-cam or a Mobius setup.
The Zorro flying wing is available in red, green and orange colour schemes.
Required equipment: -
- 24-26g 1300-1500kv motor
- 10-12A ESC
- 2 × 9-12g Servos
- 8×4 GWS Prop
- Micro Receiver
- 3s 450-850mAh Li-Po battery
Power set, servos and batteries available separately.
The recommended battery for normal flying is a 850mAh 3s pack with a GWS 8×4 Direct Drive propeller, as per our power set for the Zorro (battery not included). If you want to fly the Zorro with something like a Mobius Action Cam (Approx. 40g/1.4oz) then to save a bit of weight use a smaller 450mAh 3s LiPo battery. If you are flying with light-weight FPV gear then you can use a slightly bigger pack like the AirJoules 600mAh 3s. One of the great things about the Zorro is it is quite forgiving where centre-of-gravity is concerned.
Please note RC Factory and Twisted Hobbys kits do not include build instructions. Please check the links section above for a link to the build instructions for the Zorro.

Technical Details for Zorro EPP Flying Wing
Very good flying wing!
Everyone should have a flying wing in their hangar at some point in their model flying career! The Zorro makes an excellent first flying wing - it is easy to build and easy to fly! You can build this plane in one evening and the great thing is that you do not need to spend hours hacking out foam to fit your gear (you dont need to hack out any foam at all!)
I fly it for a little bit of FPV and also just normal flying for fun on the recommended setup - goes great with the 3s 850mAh but I use the 450mAh 3s with my Mobius.
A must buy

A cracking little wing. Easy to launch, flies very well. A good FPV platform, and with a 1300mah battery, flies for 10-15 minutes, it easily handles the weight, great glidepath. Needs some tape to reinforce when flying through gates to protects against impact damage. For the money, it's excellent value. The T-motor kit is a good fit, but change the prop for something stiffer.
Great with or without FPV gear
Very easy assembly as long as you take your time with cutting the 4 spar slots and use a very sharp blade. Balances great with an 850mAh 3s for a good 8 minutes of hooning about. I have used the battery hatch as a template and made myself a long ‘FPV pod’ (50g) with camera and video transmitter. When the pod is attached, I downsize to a 460mAh 3s and the CG only moves 5mm further forward. The Zorro handles the weight no problem and it's great fun to proximity fly it, safe in the knowledge that it's just good old EPP!
