ZTW Mantis 150A Opto ESC - HV

A powerful speed controller for brushless motors supporting 6-12s lipo batteries and burst currents up to 180 amps! The Mantis 150A is a high-voltage opto type ESC for fixed-wing model aircraft. Like all in the Mantis range, this unit is programmable using the optional LED programming box, offering a wealth of ESC configuration such as low voltage cut-off type, voltage threshold and motor direction.

The following programmable options are available, which can be programmed from your transmitter or the far more user-friendly approach is to use the optional programming card.

• Brake: Off | Soft | Mid | Hard
• Battery type: NiCd | NiMh | LiPo
• Low Voltage Protection Threshold: Low (2.8V) | Medium (3V) | High (3.2V)
• Timing: Auto | Low | High
• Motor Rotation: Forward | Reverse
• Soft Start: 8 second delay | 12 second delay (From start to 100% RPM)
• Low voltage cut-off type: Reduce power | Hard cut-off
• Startup Power: Low | Mid | High

Notes on programming
If you purchase the optional LED programming box, please note that the instructions are slightly lacking in specifics. The shorter or the two connector leads from the ESC is the one that should be connected to the programming box. Also, as these are opto type controllers, the box needs to be supplied with power – this power source should be connected last, otherwise you will only see a red light on the programming box and none of the numbers will light up to perform the programming. So, in summary, for programming with aforementioned box: -

• Connect shorter of two leads with JR/UNI connector from the ESC to the programming box (Make sure you connect to the socket on the right-hand side of the box)
• Connect appropriate power to ESC
• Connect appropriate power to programming box
• Update setting as required
